John Kinney - John has been the CEO of three INC 500 companies. He was the co-founder of GreenLife International, a biodiesel start-up in Argentina sold to Greenline Industries. He took over as CEO of Greenline Industries and installed 15 biodiesel plants around the world. John sold his interest in Greenline in 2008 and became the Managing Director of Imperial Capital responsible for clean energy companies. He is currently the CEO of Clean Fund, a merchant bank for early stage cleantech. John is active in environmental education on the board of NatureBridge and with the YPO Environmental Network. Prior to his renewable energy experience, John was CEO of ClubSource, a merchant bank focused on the fitness industry. He co-founded and was the CEO of Club One for 12 years, where he developed one of the top 5 club companies in the world with over 100 locations. John started his career as a consultant with Bain and Company and as a venture capitalist with Bessemer Venture Partners. He holds a BA in Human Biology, a Masters degree in Industrial Engineering, and an MBA from Stanford University. He was a professional skateboarder in Europe and a collegiate NCAA swimmer and diver at Stanford. He is married to his best friend and co-founder of two prior companies and also the proud father of three teenagers. He balances life with swimming and yoga.
